Relay For Life of Lincolnton

Relay For Life of Lincolnton

For the past two years, our organization has been working towards a common goal; to improve our products and organizational structure to make a positive fit with Relay For Life events across America.  Our focus was driven from our own personal losses to cancer.  We knew we had to get involved in the defiant fight against cancer.

Our efforts lead us to 2016 for becoming "the year" where we can finally reach out to the Relay For Life community with a plan to offer something helpful while raising money to fight cancer.

While making our preparations for 2016, one of the most important tasks on our list was to find our first Relay For Life chapter that would embrace our new concept.  Enter David Beaver, and the Relay For Life Of Lincolnton, North Carolina!  David found us online while searching for purple luminaries to help put on their luminary event this year.  It just so happened that we had been working on a purple "relay luminary" for quite some time and finally accomplished our goal.

So fate had struck us both, and our concept was to become reality for the first time on May 6, 2016, in Lincolnton, North Carolina.  I packed my bags and attended the big event in Lincolnton, an event I will never forget!

I was amazed at all the kindness shown me by the great people of Lincolnton.  David, and all the organizers of the Lincolnton event were very well prepared and it showed by the spectacular quality of their event.  The weather was a bit challenging, but David and crew were all up to the task and didn't let the potential for weather issues dampen their spirits or lessen the quality of the event.  Everything was executed to perfection!

I hope to continue to visit Lincolnton, and their wonderful event, in the future.  Their special warmness has touched me in a sentimental place.  I left Lincolnton with such a positive buzz.  I want to thank all the people of Lincolnton again for their kindness, especially to David Beaver for making all of this possible. This is a battle we won, but the war is still ongoing, and we will not stop until we persevere victorious!
